Learning to Sit at His Feet
31 Days of Following Jesus
October 13, 2017
Be with Jesus, Then Obey
“Jesus went up the mountain and called to Him those whom He wanted, and they came to Him. And He appointed twelve, whom He also named apostles, to be with Him, and to be sent out to proclaim the message, and to have authority to cast out demons” (Mark 3:13-15).
Jesus has called us to be with Him–to know His heart, both for ourselves and for the world! My desire is to be so acquainted and in love with Him that I will be ready to do His will, to be sent out wherever He wishes. His call gives assurance that His plan for us and for His glory can and will be accomplished.
As the old hymn reminds us:
Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.
