Learning to Sit at His Feet

31 Days of Following Jesus

October 17, 2017

Trust!

Do I really believe that God is good and He is for me? I struggled with Him for many years, but now I can say: “Yes, I do believe. He has been faithful and has been good all my days (good and bad), and He is for me even if He is not like the God whom I want Him to be sometimes.”

I can only trust Him to the measure that I know Him. Unless God reveals to me His love and goodness, otherwise I am unable to trust Him.

When I truly know about His love and goodness towards me, even If something goes wrong beyond what I expected, I would never question His goodness, because it’s impossible for Him not to be good and to work all things out for my good.

“God has promised never to leave you or forsake you, never to forget you, never to abandon. His love never ceases and His care never dims. So, if you find yourself in a difficult place, remember: you are where you are by God’s appointment, in His keeping, under His training, for His time. The same God who led you in will lead you out” (Robert Morgan, The Red Sea Rules).

Life is never easy, but God is good and faithful. I pray that you would find grace, mercy, and shelter under His wing.
