“Forsake Your Ways”

“Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that He may have compassion on him, and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon” (Isaiah 55:7).

Many times as I have studied this passage, the Lord has convicted me that if I am doing things my way or using my thoughts to figure things out, they are no more than wicked ways and unrighteous thoughts. And so many times, if I am not walking in the Holy Spirit’s empowering, my ways and thoughts get me nowhere!

Take time today to forsake your own thoughts and ways. Ask God to reveal His thoughts and ways to you. Ask the Holy Spirit to empower you to do things God’s way!

Prayer Requests:

Lord, teach us to turn away from doing things our way, or the world’s way. Help us to forsake our ways for Yours, so that we obtain Your results!

Pray for the various organizations in France that are involved in the 500th-year anniversary of the Reformation on October 31. Pray for a massive gathering of Protestant Christians in Strasbourg–that these events would open the eyes of many to the harvest in Europe. Pray that many more labourers would go out to help fulfill the Great Commission.
