Read and reflect: Philippians 2:1-11

So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind (vv. 1-2).

Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though He was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men (vv. 5-7, ESV).

Draw near

May my eyes, ears, heart, mind and soul be constantly seeking encouragement and comfort from You, Lord. Let my affections be for You and You alone. May the deep desires of my heart be in step with Yours throughout each and every day. It is so easy at times to let myself become the focus; I confess my ongoing need for You in my life. Help me to walk as Your humble servant, relinquishing my pride so that I can be a brighter reflection of the living God.

Pray for South Asia and Southeast Asia

Pray that those involved in local movements, in partnership with the local body of Christ, would be able to meet the needs of the poor around them–physically, emotionally, and spiritually–from the abundant resources of Christ the King.

“I have but one passion: It is He, it is He alone. The world is the field and the field is the world; and henceforth that country shall be my home where I can be most used in winning souls for Christ.” – Count Nicolaus Ludwig von Zinzendorf
