28 Days of Prayer

Read and reflect: John 17

As you sent Me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. And for their sake I consecrate Myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth. I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word, that they may all be one, just as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You have sent Me (vv. 18-21, ESV).

Draw near

Lord, thank You for the rich treasures found in this prayer. I ask that You continue to sanctify me in Your word, the truth. Lead me to the hidden treasures that emerge through Your discipline and training, often found in our hardship and suffering. Oh, what treasures we have in You, Jesus!

Thank You for sending me into the world. May my heart’s desire be to glorify You. Use me to invite others into a saving relationship with You. Help me to train up those in my circle of influence as Christ-centred multiplying disciples. Lead me in helping to mobilise others in the Great Commission.

Pray for revival

Pray that through the efforts of local movements the poor would hear the gospel and be transformed by it.

“Only God can give us a selfless love for others, as the Holy Spirit changes us from within. This is one reason we must receive Christ, for apart from His Spirit we can never be freed from the chains of selfishness, jealousy, and indifference. Will others see Christ’s love in your life today?” – Billy Graham
